Prophet’s Way of Giving Islamic Names

The names are used for the purpose of recognition in the society, the way people can recognize you and they also bring you one identity. Hence it has been prescribed that you must keep good Islamic names so that they don’t backfire to your personality. Another purpose for the Muslim names is that the help you differentiate between one another in a group of people.

That means that there can be more than one people who have similar names and that can be difficult for one to easily differentiate. This is where the surname or the Father/guardian’s name comes in matter. If they are more people with similar name thee surnames help us differentiate.
As it is stated in the Quran Pak,

"On the Day of Judgment you will be called by your name and by the name of your father; for this reason give yourselves good names."

Hence it is important to have the best Muslim baby names for your little ones in order to tick all boxes of Islamic sayings. We are not only called by this name but also on the day of the judgment we will be recalled by the same.

Prophet (peace be upon him) did not just keep teaching people about the importance of good Muslim baby boy or Muslim baby girl names but also implemented them. When the companions of his or the sahaba would come to him and bring their children, Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) always used the names which were of positive connotations and had good meaning to them.

They related to the good Arabic region and was very appropriate for the little child. The names don’t necessarily have to be from the Islamic origin but the thing is to have a god name which does not involve the violation of Islamic teachings.
